This manga series focuses on the friendship between two twenty-year old women with very different personalities and ambitions–both coincidentally named Nana.
Although categorized as shojo, Nana treats mature themes such as complex relationship issues and drug addiction, thus sometimes slipping into the josei category. It has been popular among both teenage girls and adult women.
